Like your belly after eating its gyro (you always say you'll save some for your next meal, but you never do), Zaytun Mediterranean Grill is expanding. The Bardstown Road restaurant, which opened in 2008, has taken over the space next to it that once housed Shim's Cleaners. The renovated Zaytuns' re-opens today after closing for a few days to finish the renovations.
"We never had enough space in here," said chef and owner Remy Pouranfar. The additional area, Pouranfar said, will allow Zaytun to better accommodate its busy carry-out business, offer a bigger menu and host monthly belly dancing. A grand re-opening party is planned for next week.
