Lynn's Paradise Cafe Sure Does Get A Lot Of Press For A Closed Restaurant

Lynn's Paradise Cafe shuttered on Jan. 12. Let's recap what's happened in the mean time:

· Lynn's donated its food to the Wayside Christian Mission
· In the only public comments from Lynn's, former COO Patty Shnatter told WDRB four reasons led to the restaurant closing; while she wouldn't specify what they were, she did say that the reaction to the restaurant's controversial's tip-out policy was not one of them
· at an unspecified date, Lynn's announced it will open to refund gift certificates and peddle its wares in the World of Swirl

But that doesn't mean the media coverage has stopped. Let's flood the zone and add to it!

· Louisville Magazine's managing editor, Josh Moss, who spent more than 50 hours with Winter when researching his profile on her for the publication's November issue, chatted with WFPL. [WFPL]

· WLKY reported on a fundraiser Kentucky Jobs with Justice organized for former Lynn's workers at the Barret Bar. (Kentucky Kentucky Jobs with Justice campaigned against Lynn's business practices before the restaurant closed.) [WLKY]

· The Courier-Journal dug into the site's public real estate records: "There are no signs of financial trouble, such a foreclosure or bankruptcy filing. In fact, it appears Lynn Winter, the restaurant's proprietor, owns the building free and clear." [Louisville Courier-Journal via Reddit]

· Insider Louisville's Steve Coomes posted a a fun mea culpa after his original post," Server's smear campaign over Lynn's Paradise Café's 'bank gate' is ridiculous," led to a shitstorm of negative comments. [Insider Louisville]

· And while we're on the topic of Insider Louisville, apparently investors are still calling its offices looking for info on Lynn's. (Although Insider Louisville begins the article containing that claim with the disclaimer, "These are biz tips Insider Louisville staff and contributors have collected during the past few days, a few of which are NOT double-verified as with our daily reporting." So it's possible Insider Louisville gave Insider Louisville a bad tip.) [Insider Louisville]

· WAVE 3, which ignored the initial complaint from the former Lynn's server, has run seven post-closing stories about the restaurant. [WAVE 3]

· The Courier-Journal examined the impact of Lynn's closing on neighboring businesses [Louisville Courier-Journal]

· The Save Lynn's Paradise Cafe fan page has been quiet since Sunday. [Facebook]

· LEO Weekly weighed in a bit late (ah yes, weekly), focusing on the more timeless issue of the "vulnerability of service workers nationwide." [LEO Weekly]
