Meta Announces Its Opening Date and that Date is Dec. 5

Meta, a "cocktail bar focusing on classics with a playful, inclusive and contemporary twist," will open on Dec. 5, according to co-owner Jeremy Johnson.

Originally the bar, located in the former home of the Show-n-Tell strip club (425. W. Chestnut St.), was to have opened the first weekend of October. Johnson said the postponement is the result of "run of the mill construction delays and a couple of unexpected bureaucratic hoops."

Here's the entire statement from Johnson:

Due to run of the mill construction delays and a couple of unexpected bureaucratic hoops, we have had to delay our anticipated late October/early November opening date. We are happy to announce, however, that the date is officially official! Meta will be open to the public on Thursday, December 5th. We can't wait and hope to see you there.
