"A monument to the beach towns of Southern California, and SoCal surf culture in particular," El Camino is set to open on Oct. 14 to the public, according to co-owner Shawn Cantley. The Bardstown Road-restaurant, at Avalon's old spot, will host an invite-only opening night on Oct. 12.
From El Camino's Facebook page, "The kitchen prepares truly authentic Mexican street food from scratch. The bar does artisanal tiki drinks. And, our large vinyl collection of surf music from across the eras, spins on the turntable around the clock.
In addition to Cantley, also co-owner of Silver Dollar other key players include
