The team behind upcoming restaurant Loop 22 hasn't even finished creating its menu, however the restaurant's Facebook page is getting fans very excited. The new restaurant, in the Douglass Loop, will be the third venture by the duo of Adam Burress and Chase Mucerino, following the incredibly popular Hammerheads and the meat-centric Game. This time around they will be joined by newcomer Eric Morris for what their Facebook page describes as a, "Full service restaurant and bar with an incredible culinary and front of house team!"
The trio is looking for a mid-November opening in the space previously occupied by the Corner Door Bar & Grill and will be offering up, "Rotisserie and Modern American Cuisine, utilizing flavors from all over the world." Another posting adds the prospect of the restaurant holding monthly themed pig roasts.
The rotisserie restaurant will have vegan options and a flexible attitude. As far as beer goes, they have eight taps and "plan on frequently tapping kegs from local breweries like Country Boy, Apocalypse, NABC, West 6th, ATG, and BBC." So far the only menu item that has been announced is a five cheese queso with grilled lobster, chorizo, and blue corn tortilla chips.
Steve Kaufman at Insider-Louisville has more on how a trip to Puerto Rico inspired the concept.
