Atlantic No. 5 expects to open on Oct. 14, according to Erin MacDonald, general manager of Rye (same owners) who'll be co-acting GM of the new downtown spot at launch.
Yes, that's the same date El Camino plans to open, making Oct. 14 like the more-delicious equivalent of Oaks and Derby being run on the same date. Or something.
"Our opening hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (we will expand our hours after about a month)," MacDonald said. This week the restaurant is testing its menu and training staff.
While Atlantic No. 5 will focus on morning and early-evening services (like sandwiches, salads, breakfast items), it'll also offer beer and wine on tap and in-house bottled cocktails.
