NY Mag's Picks for Design-Conscious Dining

Proof on Main via Facebook

This week's "Five Point Weekend Escape Plan" from New York Magazine deems the Derby City a "design-hound" destination where one may "find design inspiration." The article finds many Inspiring spots, including the 21C Museum Hotel ("basement gallery spaces, guest rooms, and even the elevator waiting areas are all venues for showcasing 21st-century works"). However, there is no mention of the art one may see when dining at Proof.

Leaving 21C and Proof behind, Point Two ("Where to Eat") offers as dining options Decca ("dual-toned cork flooring and geometric brass frames on lighting fixtures...sophisticated locavore fare"), 610 Magnolia ("a stark white neon sign out front...plates of fancifully composed, refined Southern fare") and Blue Dog Bakery & Café ("an airy, breakfast-and-lunch-only spot on the east side of town"). Point Five ("An Oddball Day") offers bonus mentions to Versailles' Wallace Station Deli & Café and Corbin's Harland Sanders Museum & Café.
