"Jonathan Schwartz will be moving on to pursue other endeavors outside our group," Eater was informed via email by El Camino proprietor Shawn Cantley. "Our good buddy, Chef Brian Enyart, will be joining our group and assuming the Executive Chef position at El Camino, effective immediately (he is in the kitchen as we speak)."
Enyart spent 14 years with Rick Bayless, most recently as Chef de Cuisine at both Topolobampo and Frontera Grill, helping the restaurants gain not only the James Beard award for Best Restaurant but also a Michelin Star. Cantley said that Enyart "was down here this summer helping us with some things and was really blown-away by what's going on here." He added "we are super stoked to be working with a Chef of Brian's calibre. It's a testament to something special that's going on in Louisville right now that we were able to attract Brian to this position."
