Welcome to our photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers visit some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, Relish.
Nearby homes or businesses help restaurants in neighborhoods like Crescent Hill, Downtown and the Highlands draw a lunch crowd. But out on River Road? You're pretty much on your own. Yet, Relish has quickly become a go-to spot for the mid-day meal. Last Saturday afternoon, however, there was a quieter atmosphere at the November 2012 opening, and more families or couples apparently dining rather than colleagues or friends.
Don't have a schedule that facilitates getting to Relish for lunch? Good news: Susan Seiller's new spot, she owned Jack Fry's from 1987 to 2008, plans to add dinner service starting on April 16.
