Taste Frankfort Ave., Drink Bourbon, Watch Damaris

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are three choice dining events going on around the city:

When: Sunday, 5 p.m.
Where: Clifton Center (2117 Payne Street)
What: Sample Frankfort Avenue's asphalt finest restaurants, while enjoying live music and a cash bar. Afterwards stick around for the AfterTaste (ba-dum-ching), starting at 7:30 p.m., featuring local bands on the outdoor stage. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 day of and can be purchased at cliftoncenter.org or at Carmichael's Bookstore, (2720 Frankfort Ave., 502-896-6950).

When: Saturday, 12-3 p.m.
Where: The Old Seelbach Bar (500 S. 4th St.)
What: This week's live taping of The Bourbon Lounge will feature a performance from alt-country singer Brandi Anderson. Guests enjoy special bourbon cocktails created just for the show while watching interviews conducted by Stephanie Fischer with bourbon legends. You must be 21 or older to attend this free event.

When: Sunday, 8-11 p.m. (show airs at 9 p.m.)
Where: Highlands Coffee (1140 Bardstown Road)
What: Watch Louisville's Damaris Phillips compete for her own show on Food Network Star. The viewing party has moved this week to Highland Coffee. Last week Damaris's performance in the kitchen earned her an early pass to the next round and led to her getting a stint at the judging table. There'll be viewing parties for as long as Phillips is on the show.
