"One of our listings is on the short list for the filming of a Food Network show," according to a post Louisville's Lenihan Sotheby's International Realty made on its Facebook page. "We think we might know which one!!," the post continues. Lenihan Sotheby encouraged Facebookers to "Please hit LIKE to show Food Network that this is the right choice!" Because Facebook likes are how all decisions are made in 2013. At the end of the post, the realtor not so subtly tagged Damaris Phillips.
Louisville's Phillips, of course, won Food Network Star this summer and with it, her own TV show on the network. Recently the Kentucky Film Office sent out an email looking for a "homey and warm" home kitchen in Metro Louisville to set an "untitled cooking show" at the end of this month. Seems like a safe bet it's for Phillips, but if you've got ideas otherwise, feel free to speculate in the comments.
Phillips declined to comment. And for the sake of the realtor, let's hope the Food Network's selection criteria doesn't include discretion.
The home's for sale listing listing describes it thus:
Elegant, distinguished home in Cherokee Triangle overlooking the Park. Take notice of the beautiful period details through out the home restored hardwood floors, paneled walls, coffered and beamed ceilings, double banister, and historic light fixtures. Recent kitchen updates include granite counters, SS appliances and a new under mount sink and faucet. The basement has tall ceilings for a Highlands home and is partially finished. Finally the back yard includes a patio, 2 story deck, and gardens leading to a large detached garage. Other features include updated plumbing, wiring, boiler, central air and a security system. Don't miss seeing this gem. Call today!
