After a false start, Edward Lee's MilkWood is kicking off its Sunday brunch service this weekend. The three-course prix-fixe brunch ($22) runs 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. According to a press release, dishes from chef Kevin Ashworth include
·banana pretzel croissant french toast with vanilla bean maple syrup, optional crispy bacon
·poached eggs with collards, kimchi, red boat hollandaise and fried green tomato
·beef brisket with whole grain mustard and fried egg on sally lunn bread
·hangover noodles with curry roast pork, snap peas, soft egg and thai chilis
Featured drinks will include a "Bloody Mary using the house blend MilkWood Hot Sauce as well as a light Yuzu-mosa instead of the typical brunch mimosa," according to that very same press release.
And because it's 2013 and this is Louisville, the menu will change seasonly.
