What: 2nd Annual Truckin' Ain't Easy

Grind, Holy Mole and Lil Cheezers gather to signal that food trucks are still around even when cold and snow appear. "Firepits, heaters, beer" are promised for what looks to be a cold (yet delicious) get together.

When: Saturday, January 18, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Chef Dean Corbett presents a $200-per-person bourbon-themed dinner to benefit The Louisville Ballet. There will also be a ballet performance, dancing to DJ Matt Anthony and both "a live and silent auction."

What: Old Lightning Rod Day 2014

When: Sunday, January 19, 10 a.m to 9 p.m.
NABC brewers turned a Colonial-era recipe into something called Old Lightning Rod in honor of Benjamin Franklin. Sunday is the ninth annual Old Lightning Rod Day, with the tapping of a special brew honoring a man brave enough to attract lightning.
