As is the tradition at Eater, our closeout of the year is a survey of friends, industry types and bloggers. This year we asked the group eight questions, from Meal of the Year to Top Newcomers. Responses are related in no particular order; no responses were coaxed or changed. Readers, please do add your survey answers in the comments, or send us an email.

Lindsey McClave, "Foodie Girl": BOURBON, BOURBON, BOURBON!
Allen Button, retired restaurateur/active attorney: More 4-star restaurant reviews, but no better food.
Dan Dry, Senior VP/Chief Visual Officer, Power Creative: The 'Ville Takes The James Beard House By Storm Again.
Damaris Phillips, Food Network Star: I predict more chefs offering good vegetarian options. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. It is tough watching my sweet gentleman order the "vegetable plate" everywhere we go.

Steve Hacker, Eater Editor: Fernando Martinez Spots Abandoned Mall, Reopens Its Entire Food Court.
