Southern Foodways Alliance has collected stories of Louisville barkeeps and barrooms as part of their "Oral History Project." SFA describes Derby City as a "drinking person's town, due in no small part to the state's bourbon heritage ... and that little horse race called the Kentucky Derby." Bars and local folks featured include the Pendennis Club, Tommy Lancaster's, the Seelbach and Jack's Lounge where Eater "Bartender of the Year Award" nominee Joy Perrine holds sway. [SFA]
