Here are a few upcoming food events catching Eater's attention:
· Asiatique is hosting a five-course "Passion for Fusion" wine dinner featuring Oregon's A to Z Winery tonight, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. Charred octopus with anchovy dust and wok-fired lychees, tofu skin-wrapped cumin-dusted ground lamb, 5-spice oxtail confit, and other fusion-y food. $55 plus tax and tip.
· Design-forward, uppercase-phobic bed-and-breakfast gralehaus (along with Chef Andy Myers) will be having some fun with Intelligentsia Coffee on Friday, March 21. The $50 per person menu includes Intelligentsia Black Cat bean-infused Imperial IPA with griddled ham and Black Cat coffee gravy, Black Tea Catfish & Hush Puppies and more.
· Decca is hosting a Michter's Whiskey Dinner Pairing on Tuesday, March 25, beginning with a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. Dinner follows at 7:30, with each course paired with a different Michter's whiskey. Michter's distillers Willie Pratt and Pamela Heilman will be on hand. Three courses (and whiskey!) are $85 per person but diners can get $10 off if they bring in a bottle of Michter's from selected stores to be signed by the distillers.
· Bourbons Bistro starts rolling out their 9th birthday bash specials beginning Friday, March 28th. $9 flights of 90 proof bourbons, a $9 appetizer menu, $9 burger Tuesdays and $9 Sunday brunches. The $9 theme will conclude on April 25th with a "Bourbons Bistro birthday blowout!"
