Feast BBQ owner Ryan Rogers has signed a lease for the former Nulu home of Cake Flour, but says the building, originally a 1900s-era auto dealership, needs such extensive renovation that "issuing any sort of time period for an opening would be imprudent." Rogers told Eater the conversion from bakery to BBQ restaurant means installing "a hood vent, grease trap, gas lines, along with all new plumbing and electrical," and added that he also foresaw "a fair amount of demolition in the space" to create more room and try to return to the "original look" of the old building. "We wish it was a turn key situation," said Rogers, "but we have very different needs in the space than Cake Flour did."
