Louisville Metro Police have charged 42-year-old Ming Wen Chen, owner of the Golden Palace Buffet with human trafficking. Chen reportedly kept "employees" locked in the basement of his Churchdown Lane home, taking them to and from work in a van with wooden benches. An arrest report says the victims were working 12-hour shifts, six days a week with "little or no breaks, and limited freedoms" at the restaurant located near Third Street Road and Outer Loop.
