Whiskey Reveal

JWDiageo50x98.jpgGlobal liquor giant Diageo has announced plans to build a new distillery in Shelby County. The company says the $115 million project would be a significant investment in the state's growing bourbon industry, with current and future Diageo bourbon and whiskey brands to be distilled at the proposed facility. The project would also include six barrel storage warehouses. State and local officials are expressing enthusiasm about the project, saying they look forward to working with the company, whose brands include Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Guinness, as it expands its presence in Kentucky.
