Early Signs of Louvino Popping Up This Saturday at Bank Street Brewhouse

Pharmacists-turned-boozy painting promoters Chad Coulter and Lauren Coulter are still working on opening Louvino, the "Small Plates/Big Wines" concept planned for the old De La Torres space on Bardstown Road. While they still await the open, however, "a few Louvino menu concepts" will be popping up at Bank Street Brewhouse this Saturday, June 28 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. According to the Bank Street website, Louvino Executive Chef Tavis Rockwell will have some dishes that will be on the menu, but cautions that "others are chef whims we think will go better with NABC's [beer] than wine." Preview or not, some dishes named include "Housemade Loaded Tots with Ranch," "Duck Fat Fries with choice of Dipping Sauce" and "NABC Beer Steamed Mussels with Crostini." (Eater presumes the latter is a "chef whim.") NABC begs possible patrons to note there will be "no table service; just go to the kitchen window to order and pay, and your food will be brought to you."
