Chef Anoosh Shariat "will return to his Brownsboro Road roots" on Monday, August 11. However, it will not be as Executive Chef of Mesh, as reported in March. Instead, Shariat released a statement announcing he will "assume operations" of Henry's Place restaurant, and "continue and take it to the next level." Insider Louisville reports that Shariat is negotiating to buy the restaurant from owner/operator Pat McGinnis. Shariat declined to disclose any details other than he plans to continue operating as Henry's Place for at least a couple of months before "making changes to the menu and the name." McGinnis provided nothing further than that "he's pleased the process has begun." Shariat spent the past two years as a chef consultant in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had been named as the Executive Chef of Louisville's iteration of Mesh, a restaurant concept out of Indianapolis-based Cunningham Restaurant Group planned for 3608 Brownsboro Road. Shariat told Insider Louisville his "intention was to work in Louisville for them, but it's taking them longer than expected to develop the site." A call to CRG corporate headquarters confirmed the restaurant, initially planned to open in October or November, will not open until "probably early next year." The group had no comment on Shariat's negotiation with McGinnis.
