Alvin Lin let Eater know that The Joy Luck he is "proud to announce the Joy Luck has created a whole new menu with new dishes!" Luckily for those who love the restaurant's soup dumplings, many of the "old dishes" are still on the redesigned and richer menu, along with the admirably waggish "bandit plate" kids' menu advising possibly picky kids to "steal from your parents." Lin also noted that beginning Sunday, September 21st, From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Joy luck will offer an "authentic Taiwanese Brunch menu," which are "served family style" and include turnip and taro cakes, "steam bun" with sweet milk dip and pan-fried chicken chive buns.
