Eater Readers Give Some Under-Appreciated Louisville Pizza Places A Little Love

View as Map

Eater asked for input on what might be some underexposed pizza places around Louisville. (Certain Schnatter-sensitive readers may be relieved to know Papa John's did not make the list.) Angilo's Pizza

Angilo’s Pizza "has been serving the Greater Cincinnati area the finest pizzas and hoagies available for nearly 50 years!" In what may be a surprise to Mayor Fisher, "Greater Cincinnati" includes Berry Boulevard. At least one Eater reader is very happy about this.

Come Back Inn

Perhaps due to its Germantown location, this "Real Italian - American" restaurant asks "You got a problem with that?" Seems some local pizza fans have no problem at all.

DiOrio's Pizza and Pub

Wings, toasted ravioli and more are on the menu along with pizza, which their somewhat generic website says is made with dough "made fresh daily in house." There's a second location on Wallace Avenue.

Caffe Classico

The eclectic cafe offers "Eggplant Parmesan Pizza" and "Spicy Thai Shrimp Pizza" along with Spanish Tapas, Steak Frites and "Sausages Alemania."

Papalinos Pizza

If someone feels Papalinos has been neglected it probably isn't owner Allen Rosenberg, who's busy shuttling between his original Highlands store and his new Springhurst location, complete with its own charcuterie room.

Rosie's Pizza

Eater readers gave big ups to this Middletown pizzeria's garlic-buttery "Hot Knots," which are on the menu along with "The Hawaiian" and "The Whole Lotta Rosie."
